Question Pnuematic Pump W140 '93 300SE

Even though I've been reading and gleaning information from this forum for many years, today I decided I needed to take the plunge, sign up, and stop being a lurker.
I know you advise everyone to first conduct a search before asking the same old questions. Well, I did as thorough a search as I could, using every possible combination of words and found nothing. So here goes...Does anyone know where I can find a diagram for the pnuematic assist pump located under the back seat? I've purchased a new pump and it arrived with the number of outlets scaled-down, with the understanding this is the "new and improved" system. Any ideas?
Thanks, in advance, for your help and advice.

The new universal pump does not have a built in plenum
You need a kit which contains various items.
1) a six way disrtributor
2) two two way distributor
3) some caps
4) and a socket
Plus some hose
the ends are cut off the yellow hoses and slipped onto the six way, hose is slipped onto the end of the six way and a socket (is slipped onto that hose)and it will go to ZV. The two red lines (back up rods) get the same treatment and the two way goes to RH. The black goes to the single socket and to SFG. the clear line goes to P- or Pu. If you have vacuum headrests you need another two way and it goes to FKS, if not cap those ports If you have orthopedic you will need another six way, a socket, and some more caps. the three grays go to that and the extras are plugged another hose on end and it goes to P+. I would check with your dealer for the bulletin when you get the fittings

Pneumatic Pump

Thanks for the valuable info. I'm hoping the new pump is stronger than the old but I'm not holding my breath. This is the second one in six years. Thanks for taking time to help me. Now on to a search about why my speakers are popping when I turn on the radio. I know you guys have written about that, too.

Thanks, again.

I was going thru "close assist" pumps every five years or so, and was about to buy one again. There was a good article on Benz World about fixing them, and I did it. The "lock unlock" pump has shown to be pretty reliable, do a search maybe you will find something. If you have a leak it will run alot, you have to remember it provides back up vacuum for the engine and also pressure for the lumbars

I would think your "Bose Amp" is the cause, it seems to be very common. The capacitors dry out $400 seems to be the going rate
