Gas cap not tightened properly can cause your check engine light to come on.

It would be in your best interest to get a code reader. They are fairly inexpensive. with what they charge at a shop, 1 use will pay for the reader. Find out the code with a reader then you will have a place to start. There are so many little things that can cause the light to come on there is really no way to help you since it is not causing any spacific problem to give us a clue.
Good luck

Raulon, Nice clean looking S320, congratulations on getting an awesome car. How many miles you have on it? The 320 it a great motor They will run forever it you treat it right. So it sounds like you found the code and where able to fix & clear it. What was the problem?
Do you have a source over there for used parts (wrecking yard)? The couple we have in phoenix don't have any S class.
Anyway good luck

Cool thanks

As far as wrecking yards go, we are limitied with supply and demand... Parts like those are hot and extreamly hard to find.... as well as mid to late model hondas and such.... any parts you were looking for????

and for the code... It was a missfire on piston number 4, so what i did was repalce my coils along with the spark plugs and cables. and vola! problem solved!!

Raulon, I'm glad it was that easy to find & fix.

With the parts I'm looking for!! Well Just small interiour trim parts to keep it in top shape. For my old MB I had a place here that have a good supply to pick over. But they have no S class. I need things like the 3rd break lite housing, wood trim pieces, and the little V shaped piece that covers on the inside by where the side mirror attaches. Dealer is pricy on these type of things.
