cuts out for about an hour
Ok here's one for ya, 300SEL W140 (S320) will start run for a few miles then appears to run out of fuel... missing coughing etc grinds to halt usually in the most akward position you could imagine like the middle of a roundabout, busy set of traffic lights. It will crank over and over and over, it has spark, injectors appears to be triggering, so my guess was fuel pump... changed it still the same, then the old chestnut, the crank sensor, changed it - still the same, changed plugs, still the same.
I'm now getting to the point where a box of matches would come in handy as it gets cold at the side of the road and a GOOD fire would warm me up
So any help - thoughts - experience of the same or simular thing would be good, what did you do to rectify this.
