E2 error message on W140 radio??

E2 error message on W140 radio??
I have asked this before and searched with no answers. It comes up with E2 on the screen. I have been told it is an amplifier error. This is a second head unit I tried. Any ideas?

E2 radio control display,
will not turn on due to open circuit/or no connection of BUS cable or no voltage!
Remedy
Check BUS connection on radio control or CD
check fuse on CD or tuner
check for voltage at circuit 15,30,and 31
replace tuner amp
The MB trouble shooting manual, that is all I can add..sorry
