1993 300SEL/S320
Wow that looks like a very very nice S600, 97 and up were the most refined and by defult had the least problems. Regardless of what anyone tells you the V12 is no worse to maintain than my 300, The only difference is the level of man hours to work around that massive engine block. The failures in these cars are usually electrical of to do with the rear suspension.

i can say first hand my s600 has been no trouble what-so-ever.
my S320 caused more problems dollar wise than my s600.
im convinced the S600 i have is built better than my S320. both of which are the same year i might add.
in the end, they cost about the same (s600 maybe a little moe for more specialized parts..but not by much) to maintain as any other MB,,,no matter what, the shop rate will still be $XX/hour. not like the s600 will be 100 per hour in the shop and an s320 80 per hour. lol.
i think because the s600 was such a calculated car. it just doesnt mess up as much as any other car.
They are speeding bullet trains with pretty good brakes. Quite on the inside. little noise from outside when driving, and not to mention more creature comforts in an s600 than any other car that year or for a couple years!
they are alot of car for the buck.
