95 S420 sluggish acceleration, cause?
Im looking to buy a 95 S420 with about 140k miles. I wont have a chance to get out and drive it until this weekend but the owner told me over the phone occasionally its a bit sluggish under acceleration and he thinks the cause is spark plugs or a fuel filter. Does anyone know what this could be?

Could be Trans related but could also be many things...it depends on the history of the car and what has been, has not been replaced.

check for records/service on trans fluid/filter/flush I would start there.

the original owner had records stamped in the book for maybe the first 50-60k iirc. but after that no real records

I should probably have it inspected, but I dont want to do that at the dealership, anyone know a good merc indy in the twin cities?

i setup a ppi at german autoworks here in the twin cities. Ill let you guys know the verdict

I think they went away from rotors and caps in 95, but if it is flat occasionally, where you put it to the floor and very little happens it could be it
