Faulty report of brake light failure

Frequently when I apply the brake for the first time after starting the engine, the bulb failure light illuminates on the dashboard.

I have had someone check the bulbs and all three are brightly illuminated, none of them have failed. As a precaution I replaced them all, but the problem persists.

Does anyone know what the solution is, please ?

It appears to be the warning which is faulty, not the bulbs

I had a similar problem which turned out to be bad contacts on the third brake light bulb. I cleaned them up and the problem has gone away. The dirty contacts create a higher resistance which is detected as lower current to that bulb. Hope that this helps!
