Audo Wiring W140 - iPod adapter
Just bought an iPod adapter that replaces the CD changer in the trunk. It works as promised with the stock radio (Bose). The only problem is the wire needs to run from the trunk to where ever you want to have your iPod. That would most likely be some where in the front close to the radio. The cable that came with it is certainly long enough for the job. There are a lot of wires, including that for the CD changer, that run on the left over the wheel housing down to the door. If I want to run the cable back the same as the CD charger cable, I would have to remove all kind of panels.
Did anybody attempt this before? Sounds like a big job. Alldata does not have the exact wiring diagram showing locations for all audio cables.
Thanks

Where did you find the adapter? Link?
Let me know what solution you find for running the wire. I am holding off on installing XM because I couldnt find an easy way to route wire from trunk to cabin.
Thanks.

ipod adapter
check ipodcarparts.com and look for you model.
1 x Mercedes iPod Interface
w/Auxilliary input (PA11HON and CBPM4) = $174.92
Also, check mbca.cartama.net and look for "iPod adapter". Don gave me some great advice on how to run the wire. It involves removing the backseat and the door sills.
