Help!, Cant switch Blower off!!

Help,

After reading the excellently documented Blower regulator replacement guide, i went ahead and replaced my inoperative Blower regulator.

Brilliant i thought as the blower sprang into life far more powerfull than at any time before!!

Problem now is i cannot adjust the blower speed, it stays at full throttle no matter where the min max wheel is set to.

I have just had to disconnect the battery, as the Blower is running even with the car switched off and draining the battery.

Anybody help on this, is there a relay somewhere i can check, surely the brand new regulator cant be faulty?!

I am pulling my hair out over this, as it's now winter in Scotland, and i could do without getting under the bonnet every day.

Thanks in advance

Callum
