W140 hood vent

Hello. I am new to this forum and I have a quick question, where can I get the hood vent from a W140 sclass?

I have tried searching but have not gotten the results I was looking for.

I have even tried searching in online junkyards. All I could find is the complete hood but in this case, all I need is the vent on the hood. I appreciate your time and help.

Honestly depending on the price of the hood with vent, I would buy the hood and just take the vent out. The only reason I say this is because the vent itself may be more than the hood that you found. In some cases if they know that you need a part that you think should cost for an example $10 they’ll try to charge you $50 or more just because it’s for a Benz. Just my thoughts.

I would check with a few MB body shops, they scrap the dented hoods, offer them a couple of bucks. I dont know your application but there are two different styles (with and without the carbon air filter) at least on my 92 S class

Thanks for the replies. The reason I dont want to buy a complete hood is because I am sure that there are damaged hoods in existance that have removed the vents.

The model I am working on does not have the carbon vent. I really appreciate the help.
