1995 S320 and 1995 S500
95 S500 Struts complete assembly Dealer quote $2600
My dealer says I need new struts complete assembly at a cost of $2600. please help.Is there an alternative. They tell methey have to send to Germany.

Find an independent. The cost is still expensive , on one occasion I was quoted $1000.00 installed with used struts supposed to be in good condition.

Struts dont usually fail unless they leak, They are kind of a hydraulic shock, and usually dont need to be replaced in pairs. The items that fail are the accumulators that are attached to the struts and are $100 each plus a similar amount to install both. the strut is $700
