I have a 98 S420 with 101K on it, I've recently replaced my Radiator and Thermostat also Flushed the system. Now when I'm driving up elevation like going to Las Vegas or Grapevine 3-4K feet the temp gadge will rise to 110"-120". There is no sign overheating because when I saw it go up I pulled over to check and there was no sign of boiling or gurgle noises.
When I release off the gas when driving up the gadge drops to 100" as I levle off when driving or decrease elevation the gadge drops right away. When I'm stuck in traffic, or city driving not going up or even parked with AC on its fine.
No Airpockets, all Cooling fans blowing hard, and no gurgle sounds of boiling temp. So why does it do that?
Any Advice?
