Hi, I'm Noel (pronounced Nole) and I just bought a 96 S600. I haven't taken delivery yet because I need to fly to Oregon to bring it home. I'm real excited about my new car. I have owned mostly european cars since I was 18. I am very mechanically skilled thanks to a problematic Porsche 928 I owned for 6 years. I hope to be able to add any input I have and be a part of the forum here.

Cars I own or owned:

86 Mazda 323 (killed by a Volvo)
90 Saab 900S (Sold)
85 BMW 528e (Sold)
84 Porsche 928S (Sold, but forced me at gun point to be a good mechanic)
91 BMW 535i (Sold)
89 Saab 900 Turbo Conv. (For sale)

Thanks for the info. I was shocked on seeing all that is needed to remove the alternator. That looks just as bad as replacing the alternator on my old 928S.
