Does the D.V.T. Adj Rod Nut go under or over the Adj Rod plate?

Does the D.V.T. Adj Rod Nut go under or over the Adj Rod plate?
After R&R the Drive Belt Tensioner Adj. Rod does the bottom flat part of the nut go on the top or under the Adj Rod plate?
1995 S320 3.2L, engine # 12-13800+
Should be a mechanical tensioner I know... but it is the non-mechanical hydraulic. Don't know why.
