Shimmy in the steering wheel

I have recently purchased a 96 S500 and I thought my shimmy problem would be corrected with new tires. The new tires improved the ride but I still have a significant shimmy at different speeds. Could I have front suspension problems?

Not sure why but these cars are prone to a little shimmy. Check the steering stabilizer shock. At the age of your car it could be bad or getting weak.
