1994 Mercedes S500
'94 S500 Oil Light

My oil light came on recently and stays on. I have checked the oil, which is at the proper level, the oil pressure, according to the dash, is also within the normal limits. At throttle it pegs at 3 and at idle it's around 2, or a little lower. I was told, by a GM mechanic (of all people!!) that it is probably the oil sending unit. Could it be that? Or something else? I have no oil leaks. If it is that, could you please tell me where Mercedes put the darn thing I can replace it, if that's what it is, if I could find it!!

As for that 'crack' about the GM mechanic, he is a good friend of mine, but when dealing with a Mercedes, I think it's best to go where people know about these cars...so here I am Thanks for your time!!!
