Inside air temperature,,
Hello all, im having a new problem this winter,,,, the inside temperature isnt getting warm like it used to,,, i used to set it at 22 and it was nice and warm,, and now i have to keep it at 27 just to get some warm air,,,,, also the vent going to the back seat always seems to pump cold air? :S
any ideas?

are u talking about the filter under the hood? the cabin air filter?

If the cabin air filter is dirty, you will get less airflow. Less airflow, less heat. Also, if the filter is dirty, the blower motor will overheat which will mean you will need to replace it sooner than necessary.

I may have used the phrase "cabin air filter" ambiguously. I was referring to the filter that is mounted on top of the blower, which filters air blown into the cabin. I think all W140's have that filter. In addition, some models have a carbon filter that is below the blower. And I think there is yet another filter inside the cabin below the glove box. I don't know if all models have that one.
