W140 mirror gears
My 140 has been sitting in my garage for several months with the mirrors folded in. I noticed that the inside hinges of the mirrors have become quite dusty (I'm talking about the gears and such that are exposed when the mirror is folded in).
I don't want to just fold out the mirror with all that dust and dirt in there, so I'm going to clean it -- but what is the best way? Can I just spray it with a hose? Or should I damp wipe it with a towel?
