windshield wiper blade replacements
what is everyone using for wiper blade replacements on their w140?
just called several dealerships and all the parts dept's tell me mercedes is no longer selling just wiper blade inserts, and you have to basically buy the entire wiper blade arm to replace. cost for that is $150 for the pair.
if anyone is using an aftermarket replacement, please list the part number and where you got it from so i can pick up a set before the rainy season starts.
thanks

cheapest way is to buy the bosch twin pack of the larger size remove the rubbers and re insert in the your original wiper arms and you must use your old twin STRAIGHT metal support strips. cut one rubber down to size. this is what i did and presto new bosch wipers at fraction of the stealership price.

Check out autohausaz.com. They sell OEM MB parts for very reasonable prices. Replacement OEM Bosch wiper blades go for about $38.00 each and the blade refills are only about $11.50 each.

I had a similar experience about two years ago. Went to buy blades at my local dealership and they told me that I was getting the last two they would ever have and that inserts for this model were being discontinued. You can replace the arm with a non OEM arm but no one makes direct insert replacements any more.
