rear pass window wont go up...

Hey guys, new here. My father is driving a 97 S420 that the rear window wont close. Im thinking its the motor as it started to labor before it stopped. Im looking to replace the motor myself and was wondering if anyone has a part diagram to take apart the door myself. I got quoted $2k+ from the dealer and I found a refurb motor for $75. Id rather do it myself! haha

thanks in advance

look on ebay for a W140 "how to work on" manual of some sort. That might help...

might be the window regulator. same thing happened with mine. thought it was the motor, but the motor was still running, just wouldn't go up.

Had same problem with my 1998 S500, Found out that it was the Top Plastic Pulley that the Lifting Cable goes over. The pieces were inside the bottom of the door when I removed the door panel. Looks like it is riveted on?
