So I have been trying to resynchronize the IR sensor for the key to lock and unlock the doors by pressing the button. The car is a 1993 300sd.
I have tried to perform the steps in the manual to reset the sensor and make it work which is to get the sensor near the receiver, briefly click the button and then use the master key to lock or unlock the door within 30 seconds and it should read it and work after that.
The clicker was working with the IR sensor, but the car battery was recently switched out so all the sensors were reset. After that it no longer works and when I try to resynchronize it, it doesnt read it now.
Is there any easier way to try and synchronize the key ir sensor with the car door receiver to get it to read the key again? It is kind of annoying not being able to use the clicker when I am at the car.
Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone that could help me out. Its probably something really simple that I am just not doing.

Check your remote, the light should come on when you push the button, the attachment shows how to re-sync
