Check Engine Light Solved cheap
My local mechanic thought the EGR valve may have been bad. He also found some vaccum leakage. I solved both by replacing those rigid plastic tubes that run along the spark plugs with stock rubber tubes. All of that engine heat had turned them into uncooked spaghetti.

lol, one time on my 94 S420 i couldn't get the check engine light to go off no matter what me or my mechanic tried after fixing a bunch of stuff. So eventually the light bulb for the check engine light just burned out
