1998 and 2002 SL 500, 2014 E550 Convertible
What is this for....
92/93 500 SEL....
On the A/C vent below the middle glove box are two buttons...one is red and the other blue...obviously..hot and cold....but what for? Turning on the A/C...system is cold without pressing the blue button...anyone care to explain what it's purpose is? Thank you!

the way i understood it was: let's say you had the temp on 70F. if you pressed the blue button, it would blow COLD air from the middle to vents even though the side ones were still just cool.
my e320 has a blue roller knob which can be set to off which makes the center ones blow the same as the sides vs when i put it up all the way to max blue, it becomes very cold. this was removed for the E cars for 2005.
