95 s500 asr light -performance imports
hello, my asr light came on and my car went in to Limp home mode, i took my car to the local shop here in Danbury CT called Performance Imports in south st, well they diagnose the car and told me the engine wire harness had to be replace $1300 but that didnt fix the problem, then they tested E-gas Unit (used part suplied by me $450) and that didnt fix it, then they said more diagnosed time to test wheel sensors modules asr abs overload sensors engine electrical wires around the enginebay area to see if they were compromised, but again nothing fixed it,then they ask me to get a trottle actuator to see if that cures it (i suplied the used part $780) again they said it didnt fix it, so far the car its been there for an entire month calling them to see if its fixed, finding parts hedaches etc etc they even said that they had a MB mechanic from bridgeport ct for asistance but wanted more money and nothing fixed it,so i got tire of it and at this point we are talking $2350,so i took the car out that scam artist shop and i replace the throttle myself-not that easy by the way (rebuilt one $500) ill email u if u want 2know how i did it.. when i took the throttle out there was the original still in the car the shop never swap the throttle so they charge me for work never performed in the car who know if they ever did anything to it, ..be carefull with Performance Imports in danbury ct, they will charge you for work never performed in the car, not honest at all now my car is runing perfect with out any issues or ars lights on dashboard , the main problem is the age of the car plus high engine temp killed all the wires inside the trottle actuator and my engine wire harness, hope this helps and watch out for those shopes that just because u have a mercedes theyll take aventage of you
