92 400SE engine frozen???

Help!
Any ideas why my engine won't turn over? Car ran fine yesterday, went out to start it, engine frozen. Pulled belts off, still frozen. Can turn crankshaft with breaker bar about 1/16 of a turn, then comes to abrupt STOP! Car has 100k miles, has been properly maintained...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

id take it to a mercedes specialist...Im pretty savvy when it comes to my cars, but i wont go farther than i know what i can do. get a diagnosis and go from there, but if its frozen..its frozen.

sometimes it just happens, (entering side story) my mom had a volvo s60r that froze at 30k miles for no reason. the dealership claimed they had no service records when we told them we couldnt find the reciepts and files for the car, but volvo usa said that that was irrelevant and offered to purchase the car back, replace the engine, or credit them full value plus 5k towards another volvo. she let volvo purchase the car back and went back to mercedes. but i have to tell you, i dont think MBUSA would have offered any of that without a fight.
*end side story*

+1 If you dont have any auto knowledge i wouldnt tackle this... Tow it in dont try to crank it again could cause more damage
