Tranny pan leak

I changed the filter and put on a new gasket. Then I had a leak that was from around the pan. I may have over tightened and bent the pan so ordered and installed a new pan but used the new gasket since it had only been one a couple days. Still leaking, not bad but messy. I re toque the pan and that made little if any change. I read where it said to not use silicone but that seems like the easiest fix. The car is coming up on 200k but that shouldn’t make a difference. Any ideas?

are you should its your pan because i have a problem with my w124 and i thought my pan was leaking or the gasket but i changed both and it kept doing it . come to find out it was one of my first pumps that was leaking and it was dipping down the side wall of the tranny ... so that is a thought ...

Well I obviously have to get under there again. I'll pressure wash and see if I can see if it's coming from someplace else. Thanks for the idea.
