1995 Mercedes S420
ASR Light

I recently bought a '95 s420 and the ASR light stays on. I have to press the gas pedal in almost halfway before the car starts moving and it is weird with shifting gears, I have to take my foot off the pedal for it to shift and it downshifts at inappropriate times. Also the heat doesn't work, not sure if it has anything to do with the ASR light but I had a '92 300D and had similar problems when the 'ABS' light would turn on from time to time. The ASR light turned off for a day or so and the car ran great. Any suggestions on fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Drew.
