My 1994 E420 is getting too costly to maintain in it's poor condition... however the engine and transmission are still working just fine. Anyone know whether the engine and/or transmission can be swapped into a 1994 S420?

I believe the answer is yes try car-part.com. I just did an engine swap myself. I droppod a 1993 400E engine into a 1994 s420. If u want to save money. Do an exact match instead of interchange. The interchange will have u changing a lot of parts connected to the engine just so u can fit it into the chassis.
