any Aftermarket HID kit that plugs into existing headlight assembly?

I'd originally wanted to go for a projector HID style assembly replacement but it doesn't look like there are any for for the W140 Coupe (1996).

And are there any HID's that plug into the fog lamps for the S500?

I realize these will need a ballast but I want to make sure the bulb fits the existing assembly ... anyone try this yet??

thanks!

Are the projector lens plastic?I won't switch to plastic love my glass.
Try EBAY for headlamps.

there aren't ANY projector lens lens assemblies for the coupe. It has a different headlight than the sedan and no manufacturer has bothered to make one.

So I just want to get an HID bulb replacement that will plug into the existing GLASS assembly of the coupe.

** Any plug-n-play HID bulb kits out there that plug into the Mercedes socket? **

1992 500SEL Black and grey 2 tone w/ camel brown interior
Thumbs up

yes there are. i did not change my glass headlights. but i found a guy who has plug n play HIDs. any kind for $79. very easy to install. no crazy wiring or anything. I got them on my S class. My guys name is Mike and his number is 708 990 3862. These are legit german HIDs. I would suggest the 6000k for a diamond white look or 8000k for a blue/white.
good luck
