1992 500 SEL
New Owner of 1992 500SEL PLZ HELp!!
Hey guys i just got my 92 500sel today after waiting for 2 weeks of shipping. It was a celebration for me, i have been wanting to own a w140 for a while now and i finally got one. i would really appreciate some feedback about the following.the car has 160km. i took the car for an inspection and the mechanic said engine&transmission are in great condition.
-Immediate work must be done on rear brakes and e brake to pass inspection.
i was there when he put it on the hoist, so i got got see the under carriage. the control arms, springs, brake lines are rusted and in fair condition. so i wanna get on changing and restoring all that. (mechanic will work on car)
Now on the interior the sunroof is steel and needs to be replaced(although when i click the button i see inside between the steel and the roof interior, the rail is still moving back and forth,but there is a steel peice that seals the cabin doesnt move or anything, the side and rear view mirrors are not working, but thats the stuff that am gonna be working at personally so any tips would be very helpful.

mirror module
You mirror issue is a module located under the passenger seat carpet where they would rest there feet. Pull the carpet down, remove a steel protection plate (10mm nuts) and the module (100 mm nuts) unplugs easy. I have used ones if your interested..good luck
