s320; soda + teenager = messed up tranny
So I love my s320. she's a 1997, but i love the older models. my wife let my 16 year old drive, with a soda in her hands - why??? I have NO idea. anyway, she spilled the drink in the center console. Now the climate control works when it wants. My biggest concern is the transmission is now all messed up. holds fist gear sometimes, or sometimes it doesn't even let me out of park. To be honest, i am not prepared for the standard Mercedes service bill of $2000 and looking for advise. I have been told the speed sensor will through the transmission out of whack. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated so the car doesn't find a for sale sign on its window. Thanks in advance.

Tell her she needs to find a job to pay that $2,000 bill :P it will teach her to not do it again.
Any warning lights on the dash? It is the speed sensor and conductor plate I am 99% sure. When you can get it out of park does it drive or just rev?
