I have no injector pulse on 5-8. Idle rough as you might imagine. Changed rotors, caps wires, plugs, coils, wiring harness,ETA,sent injectors away for testing and cleaning, cam sensor, fuel pressure regulator. Swapped LH unit from second running 400SE as well as base module. Can anyone help? Im two years frustrated at this time.......

Hi , I think I would try exchanging the LH with another and maybe Egas as well. Im thinking codes could be leaning towards ETA. Have you had it tested or rewired recently? Does the cruise Control work on the car? No can reception could be modules are full to capacity. . Give me part # to LH and Egas and Ill see if I have any spares..

Eddie...thank you
I changed out the E Gas. Also swapped xtra LH. Changed L5 crankshaft sensor from spare car as that's the last component that I had not changed. My current diagnosis is ...(1) backfire thru intake manifold. Timing light shows running retarded at 10 degrees atdc .Spec calls for 6-15 degree BTDC. When I pull plug #4 while idleiing the backfire stops. As you know there is no timing adjustment. Changed EZL /AKR Checked all wires caps and rotors again to make sure that everything is connected properly. Timing issue.
This whole running poorly tHing started after an overheat. Changed out radiator and water pump and hoses etc.. .. When I fired it up after this repair is when all this rough idle ,missing , back fire etc.... Started. Again compression test is good.180 - 190 thru out. Can the computer be"stuck" in some over heat retard the engine mode and therefore run so far of proper ignition setting?
Thanks for your interest.i am actually enjoying the challenge even though I'm buried in dispoinment each time I fire it up. Aloha....dru

DruB, I would try my drivers side ignition coil, had the same issues with a 420 and turned out to be that.

Thanks Eddie
I have changed out coil but is a used one from my parts car. It was a used one so perhaps its bad as well. When you say drivers side? Can you identify for
me? Coil for drivers side rotor and cap? Or coil closest to wheel well on the drivers side? I'll change it out again. Thanks

How about the camshaft alingment with crank test? Setting the crank at 45 BTDC and using the alignment holes adjacent to the cam gears to check for correct timing alignment. (Per ALDATA )?

Thanks again. Im determined to see this thing thru!

DruB, There are two coils in the car, both are on the drivers side although the one closet to the fender is considered the drivers side.
