Performance Data?

Does anyone know where you can find performance data on a '92 600SEL? Just wondering how fast my car can accelerate and all that other stuff.

I can imagine ~6sec 0-60. Hows it been running? Isn't that the first year w140?

Best place I know is the MBUSA website. They have data going back to 96 models.

http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container...c=5&category=3

6.3 secs for 96 S600.

The W140 started at 1992, I am not sure the 600 was out then yet. Correct me if I am wrong.

The sticker and owners manual says 1992 and yes it was the first year of the W140. I remember picking it up from the dealer in 92 brand new. The car hasn't had too many major problems but it does have an oil leak now.
In 2000, the first year of the W220, the 600 wasn't out (I think). It came out a year after.
My estimated time is 0-60 is 6 seconds flat. Car has 402hp and 428lb-ft torque. Oh yeah, does anyone know why the power rating droppedin 93?

I'm not sure what year it was, so correct me if I am wrong, but I think in '95 they shaved some weight off these beasts, improved fuel efficiency and reduced horse power slightly, while maintaining the same performance #'s. I'm not certain about the year this occured, so your reference to '93 may be correct.

600sel stats

Car-Stats.com

Report for 1993 Mercedes-Benz 600SEL
Obtained from MT September, 1993
0-60: 6.6 Transmission: Unknown
1/4 Mile: 15.2

unless something major happened between the 92 and 93...they should have the same stats....i think couple years down the road they enhanced the performance.
