W140 S500 ignition

Hi Anybody!

I have small problem with ignition module.

The car is: W140 140.051 (119.970)

I need power up the DI/KSS control module without any computers.
So i m looking on the electrical diagram maybe its possible.

DI/KSS control module pinout:

Connector A:

1 OUT Ignition coil
2 IN ground
3 IN from base module (looks like from ignition ON)
4 OUT LH-SFI control module
5 SHIELD
6 OUT Ignition coil
7 Diag socket
8 OUT CAM signal

Connector B:

1 IN CMP sensor
2 IN transmission overload protection
3 IN/OUT CAN
4 IN/OUT CAN
5 SHIELD
6 SHIELD
7 NC
8 IN BAT IN

So my question is: If i connect all imputs without CANBUS can i power up this module?

If i need to use the CANBUS wires how i can bypass it?

Sorry for my English :-)

Thank You

What are you trying to accomplish by powering up the EZL(ignition control unit)\KSS(knock sensor)???

In any event you are correct with ignition on the EZL is powered up from the base module(A pin-3). When you provide 12v make sure connector A and B are connected.

Forget about the CAN H and L that is how sensor values and low voltages are transmitted through the engine---DO NOT apply any voltage to those pins.

AS you know, you need a pulse counter to read the faults via the 9 pin connector----have you done this??

This is for engine conversion (carburetor supercharged) so i dont need any other module (all module and wires is unmounted)

If i dont need the CAN to power up this module, i have another probleme. I search :-)

Thank You
