check engine light

Recently the check engine light came on in my 94 S500 (125,000), my mechaninc told me it was the crankshaft position sensor. $300 later the light was gone and 3 days later the light is on again. Any suggestions, could this be the same thing, or something new?

Probably an o2 sensor. I have been drving with that goddamn service engine soon (check engine) light for 3 weeks! Im gonna put electrical tape over it. O2 sensors are mfg by bosch and run about $65 at autozone, my car has 4 yours probably has one or two. Thats because you have an obd1 computer and mines obd2
Its nothing urgent though
