Hi Everyone! I've been working on my aunts 1995 Mercedes Benz S320. Its had some issues, within the past 6 years its had a complete engine overhaul, all the shocks were replaced, constant oil leak, etc. many misc stuff here and there. I am currently trying to work out how to get rid of the Check Engine Light off, for good, She's brought it to several shops, for the problem and originally it said that the car had a vacuum leak. All of the shops she took it to couldnt find the vacuum leak or the reason why it was throwing the code. One shop suggested for her to replace the 2ndary wire harness (Alternator, Starter, to Body Harness) and the Engine Control Module. And now that, I have replaced those on my own, it Is now throwing a new code.
I've been thinking of just Cleaning the MAF double checking the connections, replacing the filter and then resetting the code again. Are there any other things I should check? or do? while I'm at it? Im thinking if it throws the same code again, I may have to replace the MAF. Just here to get second opinions and idea's on how to proceed with the issue.
