1994 W140 S500 tranny extraction problems.
Trying to keep things short:
- Reverse goes missing
- Tons of reading on the causes
- Tons of reading on the rebuild
- Some reading on the tranny extraction as it doesn't look complicated
- Tranny extraction -> BUST!
I'm at the point where everything is disconnected and unbolted but the tranny won't move away from the engine...
While prying on the lower part it moves a little but the upper parts holds tough.
It seems to be sitting on two metal guide sleeves/bushes – which with the use of a mirror I can tell are pretty rusty.
Has anyone encountered that before? It's either a good piece of advice or extraction of the entire engine/tranny set...
Thanks in advance for Your time.

Regarding the WD40 - I've been soaking those *******s with a "deruster" for an entire week. THe chemical used is good as it helped me countless times to extract rusted and stuck injectors from diesel engines. Unfortunatelly in this case - poor effect.
But it's sort of a relief to know that someone had a problem in the same spot!
Thanks.
