1997 s420
help with wheel and tire swap for 1997 s420
I just acquired a used 1997 s420 with a fair amount of issues so have my hands full. I found a set of wheels and tires off a 2002 e320 they are 18" and offset in back. will they fit my car? rears are 255/35/zr18 and fronts are 225/40zr18.

a little clarification; all wheels are "offset" to some degree. what is the offset? I do not know your answer, but it may help others to guide you.

As Zax63 stated, need the offset of the rims to determine whether they will fit. Look inside for the ETxx

the guy I am buying rims from wrote this
Front wheels
8 1/2 wide
6 " to inner of bolt up hub

Rear
9 1/2 wide
6 1/4 to back

does that help?

Sorry, I didn't see this post. If you go to Tirerack.com or Discounttire.com there is all sorts of info. Input your stock car and they will give you alternate sizes that will fit.
