Just some basic questions on my 500sel.
Hey all, I just have some basic questions I hope you guys can help me with.
My car is a 1993 500sel.
Is there an alarm system of some sort from the factory? I have that keyfob thing, where it has a keyless entry and the key integrated together, just can't use it, because batteries died. Also, how can I check if the alarm works?
On the console area, where the door lock button is located, on the button itself, there is a little red LED always on, when he car is off or on, and I think it's slowly draining my battery. What is the meaning of the little red light?
I couldnt get the little wipers on the headlights to activate, to my knowledge, I just have to have the lights on along with the windshield wiper active at the same time?
On my shifter, what does the 2-B mean? Like I can pull the shifter into the B position, what does this mean, and what does it do?

1) buy a new battery and install... there is a process for learning the zapper to the car, cant remember it right now. yes, its an alarm and immobiliser.
2) the red light means the doors are unlocked...
3) headlight wipers activate with squirt AND headlights on.
4) B means bottom or first gear.. 2 means 1st and second gear can activate, 3 means 1, 2, 3
