500 SEL(126) S280 (140)
S280 START ERROR message.
S280 start error message
My 1998 s280 was in storage for the past 3 years and I am currently recommissiong her. However when I go to start, START ERROR, message comes up on dash display as engine turns over and wont fire? New battery in key fob and in car itself. Also key no longer operates central locking. Where do I go from here. Thank you in advance for any assistance. J.

Check fuses on driver side fuse box.

Does your climate control display come on when you turn on the key?
