center console rear a/c is not cold

center console rear a/c is not cold
hi all. i own a 97 s320. the ac is working fine blowing cold air from the main front vents. but the rear center consoles vents are just blowing non ac cold air.
i turned the climate control wheel to hot or cold but its doesnt work. it just keeps on blowing regular non ac cold air.
does anybody ever experience this?

The rear vents through center console. If you have cold air coming through the from, it should just shoot out the back? I
don't think there is a separate condenser/compressor for the rear.
