S500 No ASR/ABS lights

Hi Guys,

Hoping some one on here can help me as we seem to be drawing a blank,

When I start the car the ABS and ASR lights do not do there preflight checks/lighting up the don't come on at all. bulbs have been tested and are fine.
Car needs to have at least the ABD light do its thing to pass out local inspection (MOT) so hoping its quite a simple one!

Thanks

Andy

With those rust buckets you need to use a blink tester to interrogate the control module for faults-------do some reading and be patient---blink testers are all over the internet.

Hi Plutoe, thanks for the reply! I'm aware of the blink testers and was hoping to avoid having to make and use one to be honest, but if it works it works

hi do you mean the dash bulbs? I’m hoping to test them ASAP as the same symptoms have appeared out of nowhere on my other mercedes.

i actually put a new battery in the car last week as my old one died in storage and wouldn’t hold charge at all. Will check that the alt is gliding it’s job when I get a chance here.
