Soft-Close not working...

Soft-Close not working...
1995 S320 SWB.
So...my door and trunk soft-close is not working. Further, when I use the IR key remote to unlock the doors, all but the drivers door unlock. However, when LOCKING the car, using the key or the IR remote, all doors lock.
I can hear the pump running under the rear seat, and have even inspected it, disconnected the power and reconnected it, and then tried the door/trunk close aid again, but to no avail. When seated in the car using the door lock/unlock switch, I can hear a hissing from the driver's door when pressing unlock. The driver door won't unlock except with the key.
And the soft-close still appears to be inop. Any ideas on what I might look at next?
