Hids for 97 S420
Hi all new to the forum. Well I searched for the answer to my question and couldnt find it. My question is what is the process to get my 97 S420 to have the hids like a 99 S420 would have? I do not want to go the aftermarket way. I would like to keep it OEM, meaning I want it to be exactly like it is in the 99 S420's.

I would recommend you go the dealer and spend about 1300 each for Xeons, which comes complete with autoleveler, etc. Or go the Bekkers which have great factory offers on xeons. I prefer to get my parts from GAPA. I have Xeons from a 99 S600 on my 93 500SEL which i purchased from GAPA. It is a simple installation that takes about 20minutes.

Installation
if it takes 20 minuts to install front lights, how long and what to do to replace the front blinkers? Got a stone in my left and have to replace, looked briefly inside but did not seem to be an easy thing to do.

I'm not sure about smart cars due to the fact that they are not availiable yet in the US. They probably won't due to safety reasons for such a small car in an SUV & Large car world. Anyway on an S class>>> pop the hood open, and put your hand behind the blinkers and you should feels something like a really large clip and just push them and they should slide out. To install them back on just glide it in on the railings.
