96 S320
Angry W140 S320 won't start in cold weather

i have a 1996 s320 W140 great summer car, but will not start in winter whenever the temperature drops to 30 degrees,,,,,it will star and chokes a few seconds later, after making a horrible sound. I need help please.
ok I am sorry i fell to mention, i can hear the pump running when the car starts,,,,,it runs 1 to 1 1/2 minutes .

I had this issue FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS, the dealer couldn't figure it out, the local Mercedes indy shop couldn't figure it out either … in my case, it turned out that it was the fuel pump relay (the little $20 or $30 part) in the trunk fuse area.

Once it was replaced the problem was fixed. I hope it's this easy for you.
