600

The 600SEL was a V12 long wheelbase sedan and The SEC was the coupe. I dont know if they actually built a 92 but 93 SEC coupe was introduced and later changed to S600 Coupe, it was dropped in 97, the last old body style was a 91 560 SEC. Those badges were used in the new 140 body style, 92 and 93, they were later changed to S600, since SEL and SEC were used in the 80 & 90s . There was as a 94 SC600 coupe and was built up to 97 I think. There is a v12 still being produced as a S600 and was reintroduced as an 01, in the new 220 body style.

The S600 coupe got renamed in 98 to the CL 600 and the 140 body style coupe stopped being manufactured in 99.

im not going to post pics up of the cars - but a 600 SEC is the coupe - but i would avoid if possible anything pre 1996 as the engine looms are organic and fall apart.

if you are going to get 'work' done on it, then save that money for the moment and get a later example - a CL 600 - its the same car, just re named. remember that this is a big complicated car, and not every garage has the ability to work on it... it has somthing like 13 computers in it!

personally I'd get a CL 500, save on fuel, save on maintainance, and if necessary drop in a later AMG 500 engine (which is a V8 as well...)

the problem is the V12 weighs so much more that the handling, soft in the first place, suffers, and the front end tends to slip out under 'enthusiastic' driving...

good luck - and remember that commas are useful when separating sentances.....

I'm not sure that the C-Class has enough room for the big engine. Correct me if I am wrong.
