1999 S320
Desperate for help
Hello I have 1999s320 heading for the scrape heap if I cannot find some answers, so I hope there are many clever people out there.
sent car to have drivers side suspension done.
came back with no central locking.
mechanic said just coincidental.
said there was a leak behind dash & needs new compressor.
i bought home & put on charger. Next day replaced the fuse & gave central locking a try. Compressor did start & I almost turned off car in panic but the compressor stopped about 3-4 seconds after starting. We thought might have blown fuse but remote worked beautifully. Doors & boot worked, we tried many many times.
next day car seemed to be down again on drivers side & had to use car rising. You could hear a compressor it went out when backed car out. But no more central locking. Have not attempted to check fuse again but it’s probably blown. Just hope compressor isn’t.
could the mechanic have inadvertently pinched a hose & caused this mess.
still think car sinks after 8 days standing.
hope someone has a few good ideas.
