Dear All - I recently went to the Mercedes dealer to buy a replacement key (the case was very scratched up and I couldn't find my spare IR transmitter for my C140). To my horror, the dealer tell me Mercedes (in their wisdom) has discontinued supplying this version of key

Is there someone who can put me right and tell me the dealer was wrong and that Mercedes is still supplying these keys?? Or that there's an equivalent aftermarket solution? Would hate to be in the situation of needing a key and being unable to get one - better to get a solution for this problem before it becomes an urgent problem.
