Transmission jerk in D and R
I have a W140 S-CLass 320 SWB year 1992 1st version Engine M 104. My transmission 722.3 4 speed has a slight jerk in D and R. I have charted down the issue in points.
1. When I shift the gear in R I feel a jerk but at the same time I can feel the engine is getting more and more po
werful even though I have pressed the brake pedal, I can feel any moment the car will move at a high speed.
(A) I have to switch the gear back to P wait for 1 minute or more and then shift to R where the jerk is back but I can reverse normally
2. If I shift the gear to D I feel a slight jerk but the engine is stable and all gears from 1 to 4 shift normally up and down.
(A) If i stop at a signal the gears are operating normal
(B) Driving in normal traffic or Highway gears are operating normal
Works done so far for the gear box
1. Transmission Oil has been changed
2. Rear Flex disc has been changed (Attached image for reference)
3. Front Flex disc has not been changed
4. Gearbox and engine mountings have been changed
5. PAN Gasket and filter has been changed
Comparison
1. Before carrying the above works the jerk was hard after completing these works the jerk is less.
