Awakening the 500 sel from an 8 year slumber
Hey all, Been working on this gem for a couple of weeks now. The car sat for 8 years before it was given to me. I removed all the spark plugs and put marvel mystery oil in every cylinder and let soak for a couple of days, Replaced spark plugs with some fresh plugs, Dumped the oil and put fresh oil and filter. Dumped the tank and changed the fuel filter and 2 fuel pumps. Also changed the alternator. Also replaced the top engine wire harness because they were nice and chewed up from age.
Car started right up smoked abit but ran for about 10 minutes then died. I put fresh fuel in again with some fuel injector cleaner and turned car on again. She ran idle for 30 minutes then died again. Now she wont start. Any ideas where to go?

Can't accelerate car either. She she's @ 500rpm and the. Dies once in gear

Spark wire was on wrong spark plugs. Fouled plugs. Replaced and put correct spark wires on plugs. She runs good. Tomorrow going to change the coolant considering it's 8 yrs old atleast
